Have you seen the new shopping cart wash that some of the grocery stores are featuring that leaves the cart sparkling clean and germ free. Some of the stores provide wipes that customers can use to wipe the handle of the cart before the child is placed inside. It is not just babies that can be harmed by the bacteria on the cart, adults should also be concerned about the germ laden cart. University studies have shown just how terrible the germ factor is on the shopping cart.
Some parents are using a shopping cart cover. The germs and bacteria that can be found on the cart is remarkable. When parents are busy shopping, some of the babies mouth the cart handle. What you place in the cart may also be harmful to the child.
Whatever precautions you have taken, it is advisable to wash yours and your child’s hands after leaving the grocery store.
